Functional buttons are optional - they can be just decorative - you can pull this dress over your head if you like!
It's got box pleats in front and back for a comfy fit, and slimming lines.
You’ll need 2X your desired length, plus 1/2 yard for short sleeves or no sleeves, or 3/4 yard for long sleeves. Add 1/4 yard for facings and extras.
Suggested fabrics: Anything light weight with a soft hand and nice drape. We like cotton shirting or lawn, mid- or light-weight linen, silk crepe, charmeuse or velvet, rayon challis, or very stable knits.
This pattern assumes basic sewing skills. It’s easy enough for newer sewists, and comes with a step-by-step video sew-along.
