iDye Natural
iDye Natural
This is the easiest dye on the planet to use, and will produce terrific, permanent color for you on most natural fibers. We promise. It's EASY, and not even a teensy bit scary. If you want a color that's on the chart, but not in the drop down menu, just ask us, and we'll order it for you.
NO, this dye will not mess up your washer. If you're really being careful, you maybe might want to run an extra rinse cycle afterwards, but frankly, I don't bother, and I've never had a problem. Even with my white towels.
This dye will not work on synthetic fibers like nylon and polyester.
For plant fibers, like Cotton, Hemp, and Linen, add 1C of salt to your dye bath.
For animal fibers like Wool and Silk, add 1C of white vinegar.
How to use your iDye in a top load washer:
1. Set your washer to its hottest, longest cycle. We like "Sanitary."
2. Let the washer basin fill with water, and then stop the washer.
3. Drop in the iDye packet and your salt or vinegar. Stir. Wear a glove, or use a stick you don't mind dyeing.
4. Wet your fabric, and drop it in the washer.
5. Restart the cycle and walk away. You're DONE!
How to use your iDye in a front load washer:
(YES, it works. I've done it a bunch of times!)
1. Set your washer to its hottest, longest cycle. We like "Sanitary." Start the cycle, but then stop it right away. Make sure the washer door unlocks.
2. Fill a plastic bucket with hot water (I use my tea kettle) and drop in the iDye packet and your salt or vinegar.
3. Dump your dye into the washer.
4. Wet your fabric, and drop it in the washer.
5. Restart the cycle and walk away. You're DONE!
