This is a top quality 100% Cotton Jersey, about 5 ounces in weight, and knitted in a tube for easy cutting.  And this is a whopping 62" wide (31"tube).

Pretty stable for a knit, and pretty easy to work with, as knits go. About 50% stretch across the grain.
