We all need at least ONE pair of snazzy black pants. The kind you can wear to a picnic or a boardroom. The pants that move when you walk, but won't wrinkle when you roll them up in your suitcase. The pants that go with EVERYTHING.
The fabric of choice for such magical pants is Ponte Knit. It's substantial, almost heavy, but has a beautiful liquid drape.
Usually Ponte is made out of Polyester, but since we're not keen on putting one more ounce of plastic in the world, we usually don't have Ponte in stock.
Except when we find it in RAYON! Rayon is a cellulose fiber, like cotton. It breathes. It's lovely. And it's biodegradable. Add a tiny touch of nylon, and some spandex, and you have the perfect pants fabric.
But hey, why not make a cardigan to go with it????
