Needle Felting and Wet Felting
Eureka Fabrics welcomes Susan
Boese! Susan has channeled this
passion for handwork into 11 years of embroidery, appliqué, felting and
sewing classes to youth and adult students.
Susan teaches privates and small groups. Just drop us a note or give us a call, and we’ll set up a private lesson, or put you together with the next group that’s forming.
Here are some of the craft techniques you can learn with Susan:
Crochet for Beginners – Using a simple hook, we will transform yarn into a flower while learning 6 crochet stitches. Intermediate classes also available.
Knitting for Beginners – Let’s knit a scarf! You will learn to cast on, knit, purl and a few knitting basics to get you started on your scarf project.
Needle Felting – Learn needle-felting basics as you transform
wool roving into a cute critter, and create a flat felt embellishment.
Wet Felting – Learn wet felting basics as you felt soap and transform wool roving into fun shapes (ex: felted acorn embellishment)
Hand Work – Want to add that ‘unique something special’ to your sewing projects? Learn handwork techniques including embroidery, applique and beading while creating a jewelry pouch.
Silk Flowers – Learn to transform silk ribbon and silk scraps into
beautiful silk flowers and leaves. Use your creations to embellish and up- cycle.
